New video coming out this week. Car is from 1961 and these are the transmission gears. Only hint. name that car?

Something small, like an Isetta?

Very odd - the farthest-forward gear slider, instead of engaging drive, engages an almost-drive ratio right off the layshaft as a step down/step up. I can’t think of any reason to do it that way except limited space at the top shaft. So, this is a trans with no reverse(?), three speed, straight-cut gears in all but one ratio, limited mainshaft space (common sump?) and no 1:1 drive. Yeah, jokish peanut car like an Isetta would be my guess, but which one...

You’re getting close! This car has no reverse in the typical sense of the word. You start the engine in reverse to go backwards.

That’s a pretty good clue. So it was attached to a two-stroke engine. Hmm.. 3 speed, two stroke, 1961...

Saab 96 is my best guess. Honestly no idea.

Saab 96?
I haven’t looked at the comments yet, so don’t know if anyone has answered.
